EMERGENCY RESOURCES

For immediate and confidential assistance, you may call the Broward
County 2-1-1 hotline, by simply dialing 2-1-1. Assistance is available 24
hours a day, seven days a week, and you will be directed to the nearest
emergency food or social service agency in your area.

The Food Stamp Program (SNAP)  helps people with low-income, buy
healthy food. A food stamp household is normally a group of people who live
together and buy food and cook meals together. If your household passes
the Food Stamp Program's eligibility rules, the amount of food stamp
benefits you get depends on the number of people in your household and
how much money is left after certain expenses are subtracted. To view
eligibility requirements, click here. To view a listing of Food Stamp

Broward Meals On Wheels provides Emergency Food Services to Seniors.
This one time service provides seniors returning home from the hospital
with 14 dinners and 14 breakfasts to help them through their recovery period.
Additionally, homebound adults in Broward County can request a grocery
shopping volunteer who will shop for them once every other week at their
local Publix Supermarket. There is no charge for the service, but customers
must pay for their own groceries by setting up an account with BMOW.
Donations for all services are requested. Visit www.BMOW.org
