RESTAURANT DONATIONS

In 2008 the state of Florida passed the "Jack Davis Florida Restaurant Lending a Helping Hand Act". The law, which specifically protected restaurants from liability, was named after the 11-year-old from South Florida who had alerted state legislators to the vast amounts of food discarded by local restaurants.

If you are a restaurant interested in donating to a local soup kitchen in your area, please contact South Florida Hunger Coaltion Coordinator, Sandi Gruber, via email at sgruber@southfloridahungercoalition.org.
