Community Garden Project
The Community Garden Committee of the South Florida Hunger Coalition are seeking churches, non-profit agencies, and other service organizations that would like to start a garden in their community. There are currently ten garden sites being considered for cultivation as community gardens. More are welcomed. Committee members are here to help answer questions and to guide and mentor new community gardeners as they break ground for their new gardens.

All non-perishable food items, such as canned meat, vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, jelly or jam, soups, pasta and toiletries, are welcome at any time.

JANUARY - The new year is always symbolized by a baby, so January is "Baby Month."  Donate items for newborns to toddlers including baby formula, food, and cereal; diapers and pull-ups; and wipes.

Residents are also reminded to take advantage of "buy one-get one free" offers from area grocery stores, by donating the second item to the 365 Food Drive.
In January 2010, the Broward County Board of County initiated the year long 365 Food Drive to meet the increased demand
